Cardal's Church

Born following the fulfillment of a vow made in 1707 by the Count of Castelo Melhor, Luís de Vasconcelos e Sousa, N. Sra. do Cardal was the church of the extinct Convento de Santo António.

Castle of Pombal

Pombal Castle follows the same architectural lines characteristic of the Templars, present not only in Almourol, but also in those of Idanha, Monsanto, Tomar and Zêzere, their contemporaries. The function of this set was to provide the defense and settlement of these lands

D. Maria Bridge

It is the old bridge built in 1793 to serve the Estrada Real that linked Lisbon to Porto and much later the National Road No. 1, which crossed the city of Pombal.

Whale Bone Beach

It is the only one in the municipality of Pombal and is located in the parish of Carriço. It has been classified, since 1998, as Praia Dourada, as it preserves the ecological balance, enabling tourism to be enjoyed while fully respecting existing environmental conditions. This award is also intended to raise awareness and environmental education, alerting citizens to its value and importance.

Pombal

Pombal is another small corner of Portugal located in the District of Leiria, reasonably close to the capital Lisbon. The main tourist attractions to be explored by tourists is the castle of Pombal, the parish church of São Martinho, the church N. Senhora do Cardal, in Redinha Roman Bridge, Cardal Church and the Louriçal Convent Church.
